Environmental Principle
We at Oki Power Tech group (Fukushima region) recognize the conservation of our earth environment being mankind's common and most important concern, and with such conscience, we are dedicated in the protection of the natural environment including the well-known " Beautiful Fukushima" region through our founding principle to strive for better and desirable corporate activities.
Action Plan
We at Oki Power Tech group, in acknowledgment of our business nature engaged in the developing/designing, manufacturing, selling of electronic devices and high-performance switching power supply units, commit to the following environmental management principles.
- By constantly recognizing the involved environmental effects through our business activities, products, and services, we shall strive for the prevention of environmental pollution as well as aim for the continuous improvement in our environmental management systems and environmental performance standards.
- By directing our business activities, products and services to conform to applicable environmental laws, regulations, and agreements, we pledge to engage in the further spread of environmental conservation through the setting of self-initiative management standards.
- By recognizing the involved environmental effects through our business activities, products, and services, we shall conduct on conservation activities in especially prioritizing the following guidelines.
- Through proper assessment of environmental effects at all levels by taking care of a product from its development/designing stage to its final disposal treatment, we will endeavor to provide environmentally-conscious products based on energy-saving design application and enablement of recycling disposal.
- Through proper recognition of environmental pollution substances, we will exert our utmost efforts in the proper management and curtailment of raw materials and chemical substances contained in the organic solvents used in the production process. We will also further promote lead-free soldering methods.
- To prevent global warming and depletion of resources, we will review the energy and resource efficiency rate of our production facilities from operating and managing perspectives, in an effort to work towards implementing energy-saving measures, such as minimized use of electricity.
- To prevent the depletion of resources, we will reduce the use of paper materials and work towards the widespread recycling of waste particles such as IPA and soldering dust.
- Through proper acknowledgment of the company's geographical location, we will strive in beautifying the environment and engage in actualizing a symbiotic harmony with the regional community.
- To appropriately abide by these environmental principles, we will set environmental purposes and goals, as well as form an environmental management system enabling the participation of all the corporate group organizations and employees, in an effort to promote environmental conservation activities.
- Environmental education and in-house publicity are aimed to heighten employee understanding and awareness towards these environmental principles. Regarding Oki's business partners, we will also work in seeking for their understanding and cooperation towards our environmental conservation efforts.
